Gettysburg & Monticello Two-Day Tour

Travel through the picturesque countryside to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Charlottesville, VA., two towns steeped in history. Spend a day devoted to a tour of the town of Gettysburg and its historic battlefield, and another day visiting the home of Thomas Jefferson.

Highlights:

• Visit historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, including the Shriver House Museum and the state-of-the-art Visitor Center

• Aboard our motor coach, an award-winning Battlefield Guide will provide a fully-narrated history of the battle of Gettysburg during a two-hour, comprehensive tour of the battlefield

• On a separate day, take a quaint drive down to Charlottesville, Virginia and visit the home of Thomas Jefferson

• Have lunch at Michie Tavern, a splendid colonial presentation, then head to Monticello, Jefferson's home, and visit his estate.

Departure time: at 8am

Departure point: Union Station office at 50 Massachusetts Ave. NE, Washington, DC 20002, on the Bus Terminal Level. Once the tour departs, guests cannot join along the route. You should arrive between 15-30 minutes before your tour's scheduled start time to check in properly.

Monticello: 11.5 hours

• Gettysburg: Thursdays and Saturdays only September 8 through November 26, 2016. Closed on Thanksgiving Day.

• Monticello: Fridays --- March 11 through November 11, 2016.

• Our drivers are licensed DC sightseeing guides, but they do not get off and accompany you to each memorial, as they are responsible for the motor coach itself.
